Gary the Demon PA on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
March 13th, 2009On Wednesday, I got to play a demon character on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Specifically I played a production assistant named Gary who also happens to be a demon. It was a fun part to play (written by the talented Morgan Murphy). And it was very cool being on set at 30 Rock and meeting everybody. There aren’t individual clips of the sketches I was in, so to view them you’ll have to click on a link to the full episode. I appear at the end of chapter one (8 minutes in) and at the end of chapter two (14 minutes in). Here’s the link:
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Full Episode
My family was excited about my appearance (even if they couldn’t recognize my face). When my sister Caroline told her 7 year old son, Sam (my nephew), that I was going to be on TV, he got really excited and was like, “Like real TV?? No way!! He’s gonna be rich!!! We’re all gonna be rich!!!! Yes!!!” That’s the power of TV at work my friends. Expect several wads of “Benjamins” coming your way courtesy of Gary, the demon PA. Just make sure to hide your babies.
Added: some behind the scenes footage shot by Cory Cavin.
As you can tell from the video, I start off the day looking like a tired and pathetic normal guy. But Late Night did a spectacular job whipping me into shape and turning me into a demon. The make-up guy is Josh Turi, who does the make-up and prosthetics for SNL.
