Phelps Minute on Digg.com
September 2nd, 2008The Phelps Minute was in the main player on Funny or Die yesterday. So big thanks to the good people at FOD for doing that. Now the video is on the front page of the video section on Digg.com. I’m not 100% sure how digg works, but basically the more people who “digg” your video, the higher your video goes up to the top of the page. So if you have a digg account, please digg away:
The comments on digg are pretty amazing. Of course, as with much of the internet, most of them are highly negative. What’s funny is that a lot of them say awful things about the video and yet they’re still “digging” the video. They’ll say something like, “Holy shit, that totally blew.” And then next to their comment, “Plus 4 diggs.” Some people were even offended by the DNC “propaganda” laced throughout the video. And they’re totally right. If this video is anything, it’s meant as a hard hitting propaganda tool for the DNC. That and a marketing ploy for the producers of the movie, Swimfan. So please, keep these amazing comments coming, and digg away.

The “Plus 4 diggs” by the comment actually means that 4 people took the time to say they digg that specific negative comment. So not only does one guy think your video “totally blew,” but four more people think so too.
Personally I think the video was totally rad.

Aha, well that makes a little more sense. Thanks for clearing that up Charlie.
And thanks for the totally rad rating. Much better than totally blew.
