I had one of my biggest gigs yet this past weekend. I played Santa Claus at a kids party. It was hosted by Emmy Kenan (a friend from UNC).

At first, the kids were visibly scared, and wanted nothing to do with me.

This was probably due to the fact that I didn’t resemble the actual Santa Claus in any way.

Also, at times, I appeared drunk. (See below.)

Even my own wife felt embarrassed for me and kept her distance. (She’s in the background of the picture below.)

But once I brought my presents out, the kids pounced on me, and all was well.

It ended up being a very fun gig. And I’ll be looking forward to playing Santa Claus at future parties and malls across the country. Look me up.

Get Psyched was nominated as “Best Variety Show” for the 2007 ECNY Awards. Nevermind that Get Psyched isn’t really a variety show anymore, hey, I still got nominated for something, right? I’ll take it! Also cool is the fact that Jackie Clarke got nominated as Best Director for her work on Get Psyched. And Adira Amram (Dr. Lanny’s musical partner) got nominated for Best Musical Comedy Act. So vote away!
