That would make a neat Improv Everywhere prank, where at a show, instead of clapping at regular intervals, the audience just chanted “CLAP-CLAP-CLAP”.

A-Rod sometimes gets lost in the moment, which explains why he likes chanting along with the crowd from time to time. Still, he is obligated by contract not to making any physical clapping of any kind, which explains why he chants the “CLAP CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP” part.

I watched that game on ESPN, and it all makes sense now. I couldn’t understand why A-Rod, in between errors and strike-outs, was chanting, “Find-Your-Seat-Rob, CLAP CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP”.
